My group and I made a poster on four different parts/pieces of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. The four different parts were on the meaning of mockingbirds, flowers (azaleas, camellias, and geraniums), Tim Johnson (the dog), and morphadites. First mockingbirds on our poster stands for innocence. Second the flowers stand for remembrance, frustration, and optimism. The third was Tim Johnson the mad dog who stands for world corruption. Finally all of the morphadites in the story stand for change.
Mockingbirds:
In the book To Kill a Mockingbird mockingbirds have an interesting meaning and it is called innocence. They stand for innocence because they do nothing except sing. That is also the reason why it is considered a sin to kill a mockingbird in the book.
Flowers: Next are the flowers and each have a different meaning.
Azaleas - First are the azaleas, and they stand for remembrance. They stand for remembrance because Miss. Dubose give Jem this type of flower before she died so he could remember her.
Camellias - Another type of flower is the Camellias. These flowers stand for frustration. The camellias stand for this because this is the type flower that Jem destroyed in frustration after Mrs. Dubose said some not very nice things about the Finch family.
Geraniums - Finally are the geraniums and they stand for optimism.
Tim Johnson: Tim stands for world corruption.
Morphodites:

To Kill a Mockingbird Literary Analysis Paper Link
Reflection of my paper:
In my paper I went over three of the characterization aspects of Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird. The first part of characterization that I analyzed is Atticus's physical features. I went over the importations of his age, the fact that his left eye is going blind, that he has to where glasses because of it, and finally his overall description in one word by a character. The second piece of characterization that I analyzed are Atticus's actions. These actions include determining a suitable punishment for his children, defending the innocent, and when he handles a bad situation. The last type of characterization that I analyzed was Atticus's behaviors. His behaviors included his morals, respect for all living things, and seeing things the was other people would see things. I analyzed these parts of characterization to show how important Atticus is in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird.
